Positive aspects:
Hotel employees were very friendly and helpful. The location is fabulous. About 150 meters down the street from the entrance is the plaza that houses the Hofbrauhaus and various other restaurants/bars/cafes. A short walk from there and you are in the Marienplatz. For the price, the hospitality and the location can not be beat!

The Hotel was pleasant and clean. The rooms were not huge but large enough for the 3 single beds we required. The hotel location was very central and had good transport links.

The hotel was a little expensive.

Positive aspects:
very helpful staff at the Front Desk, especially Frau Durr, a very courteous, thoughful, wonderful person. excellent breakfast selections (although I wish there was skim milk available for cereal). rooms very clean with very responsive cleaning staff. non-allergenic cleaning fluids used, which is good! excellent, moderately priced food at the restaurant.

Negative aspects:
the noise level on nearby streets on Friday and Saturday night from people on their way to and from the Hard Rock cafe and other nightspots was a real problem. very difficult to sleep, until about 4 a.m. curtains to help block out the sound would help (similar to what hotels near airports use) would help cut down on the noise. much better on Sunday and Monday nights, when people weren't going to the clubs. also some guests on my floor left their room doors open while smoking and the hallways are filled with cigarette smoke. carpets on room floors are old, dingy and need to be replaced. gives a bad impression.

Positive aspects:
The staff was professional, and the room was fine -- one of those top-floor room with the dormer windows and odd shape. It was a pleasant stay.

Negative aspects:
There was a minor mistake in the billing, but the staff cleared it up as soon as I notified them about it
